EURATOM CRICKET CLUB - ISPRA 11th February 2004
Dear Junior Cricketers & Parents, With participation for the first time in championships at U/13, U/15 & U/17 level, 2004 promises to be a busier year than ever for the Junior section of our club. The U/17s will play in Rome over the May Day week-end, as holders we will host the U/13 Finals in Ispra on July 10th & 11th and the U/15 Finals will be held in Sicily in early October. Further, during the summer, the U/13 European Championships will be held in Gibraltar & the U/17s in Bologna, with several of our players in both age-groups in with a good chance of being selected for the National teams. Amazingly the new cricket season is nearly upon us as the I.C.C. coach, Richard O’Sullivan, will be back with us at the end of the first week after half-term. All the practical sessions will be held in the J.R.C. Sports Hall. I would remind you all of the great benefit that everyone has got from them in the past & therefore encourage you to make every effort to attend. We should also be able to use the big-screen TV in the Clubhouse for the video sessions. You will find a timetable below for the different sessions. If because of the overlap between age-groups you have any doubt as to which sessions you are expected to attend, please check with Dai Berry (338 7349600). Note that Richard will also use some of the junior sessions for an adult coaching course, so any of the 1st XI or parents who are interested should confirm with Dai.
