Directions to the Mascioni Cricket Ground 

From Milan:  Follow the Autostrada dei Laghi & at Gallarate take the A8 north towards Varese. Take the Azzate/Buguggiate exit & follow this road SP1 in the direction of Laveno. You will soon come to a big roundabout with a plane in the middle. Continue along the SP1 until you come to Gemonio. *** In Gemonio turn right at the sign to Azzio & go under the railway bridge onto the  SP45. This road will take you steeply uphill through a series of hairpin bends. At the top continue through Azzio. After Azzio you will come to Comacchio & a small roundabout. Continue straight on towards Cuvio. After a short while at the entrance to Cuvio village you will come to traffic-lights for the entrance to the Mascioni site. Turn left here into via Giacomo Mascioni, & then left again into the visitors car park. Go to the far end of this car park & on into the smaller secondary car park. The pitch is 20 metres from the far end of this car park.

Hotel Corona: For the hotel go straight on at the Mascioni traffic-lights. The hotel is about 100 mts further on in the middle of the village on the left (http://www.hotelcoronacuvio.com/enter.htm).

From Stresa / Arona:  Follow the road south along the western shore of Lake Maggiore to Sesto Calende. At Sesto cross the big iron bridge into Lombardy & continue through the town towards Milan. A couple of kms after you leave Sesto you will come to the entrance to the A26 Milan autostrada. Leave this to your right & continue for about 100mts, keeping left so that you can take the dual-carriageway SP629 north signposted Luino/Laveno (Beware the traffic-light & speed cameras! 90 kms/h limit most of the way). After about 15 kms at the big roundabout at Besozzo continue straight on towards Gemonio. As you reach Gemonio after a few kms you will see BRIKO on your left. Turn right at the traffic lights towards Varese & then straight away left under the railway bridge onto the SP45. This road will take you steeply uphill through a series of hairpin bends. At the top continue through the village of Azzio. After Azzio you will come to Comacchio & a small roundabout. Continue straight on towards Cuvio. After a short while at the entrance to Cuvio village you will come to traffic-lights for the entrance to the Mascioni site. From Turin:  From the A4 follow the A26 towards Milan & Gravellona Toce. At the "Diramazione Milano" head for Milano.Shortly after you cross the bridge into Lombardy, take the Vergiate/Sesto Calende exit which is immediately after the tunnel. Follow the dual-carriageway SP629 north signposted Luino/Laveno (Beware the traffic-light & speed cameras! 90 kms limit most of the way). At the big roundabout at Besozzo continue straight on towards Gemonio. Immediately after you see BRIKO on your left turn right at the traffic lights towards Varese & then straight away left under the railway bridge. From this point follow as from *** above.  

From Lugano:  Cross the border at Ponte Tresa & head for Varese along the SS233. At Ghirla turn right along the SP43 towards Luino. After you have gone down the hairpin bends you come to the roundabout at Mesenzana. Turn left along the SS394 towards Laveno. At the traffic-lights in the middle of Cuveglio, turn left towards Cuvio. Follow this road & in the middle of Cuvio you will see the Hotel Corona on your right. About 100mts further on turn right at the traffic-lights into via Giacomo Mascioni, & then left again into the Visitors Car Park. Go to the far end of this car park & then into the smaller secondary car park. The pitch is 20 metres from the far end of this car park.

By Train: There are hourly Ferrovie Nord services from Milano Cadorna to Cittiglio, which is about 5 kms from Cuvio. The journey from Milan takes about 1hr 40 mins.
